Overall Purpose of this Website

My goal with this website is to create content that is as raw and unfiltered as possible. I created it to share my experiences with life (specifically food and alcohol) in the hopes that others who also struggle for a degree of normalcy in these areas might stumble upon this page and find some solace. You are not alone, reader.

Ultimately my hope is that others will be encouraged to share their own personal struggles with disordered eating, disordered drinking, or disordered thinking, as well as the ways in which they have learned to handle these struggles. Often it’s healing enough just to read that others are going through experiences similar to our own, but understanding the different tools employed to process those experiences can be a game changer for many.

In my own life, I was able to overcome an 18yr battle with an eating disorder and a roughly 10 year unhealthy relationship with alcohol mainly through reading books, blogs, and listening to podcasts in which others shared their experiences. So here I’m adding to the wealth of shared knowledge in the hopes that even one person will be helped through my vulnerability.
